No built-in email marketing tool in Mighty Networks
No. Mighty Networks does not include an email marketing tool for newsletters, sequences or campaigns. Its own marketing page addresses the question directly and says plan and Space links can be dropped into any email, and that many other platforms already send email. The company's stated position is that it builds native features only where they affect results.
What it does have is transactional and community email: messages triggered by activity, plus a way for hosts to announce something to all members. For newsletters, the help center sends you to Kit, an outside email platform, through an integration that starts on the Scale plan.
The emails Mighty Networks can send by itself
| What it does | Documented limit | |
|---|---|---|
| Daily Digest | Summary of a member's unread notifications, sent at 5pm in their time zone | On by default. Not sent on days with nothing unread. Members can switch it off. |
| Message All Full Members | Host or moderator announcement with an optional title and formatted text | Delivered by email or push according to each member's settings. Limited members are excluded. |
| Bulk message to selected members | Message sent from the member list to people you tick | Opens as a message inside the community |
| Invites | Email invitations to join, with up to three reminders | Sent 50 at a time. Unused invites expire after four weeks. |
| Real-time alerts | Host going live, event reminders, welcome checklist reminders | Sent at once, outside the digest |
One rule applies across these: members who have not logged in for 18 months do not receive notifications. So the built-in announcement cannot be used to win back people who drifted away long ago.
What is missing compared with an email platform
- No newsletter or sequence editor. The help article on creating a newsletter is entirely about connecting Kit.
- No reach to limited members through the all-members announcement. Limited members are people with access to certain Spaces only.
- Members control delivery. An announcement arrives by email or by push depending on personal settings, so you cannot count on an inbox.
- Default sender is an mn.co address. Sending from your own domain needs Growth or higher. Even then Mighty Networks does not receive replies, and the help center says the switch can take up to 30 days to cover all email.
You can edit the digest's title, up to 30 characters, and its description, up to 65 characters, under Admin, Branding, Emails. That is the extent of design control we found documented for the digest.
The documented route: connect Kit on Scale or higher
The plan comparison marks the Kit integration and the Zapier integration from Scale up. Neither is included on Launch. As read on 3 October 2026, Scale costs $179 a month billed annually or $215 billed monthly. The help center adds that you need a Kit account on the Creator plan or above, and that hosts get a 30-day extended Kit trial. Kit's own price is separate and not covered here.
- In Mighty Networks, go to Admin, Integrations, Kit and select Connect Kit.
- Log in to Kit or create an account, then approve the two authorization screens.
- Turn on Sync Member Data. It is off by default. Members are added to Kit with a tag for your community.
- Optionally turn on tag syncing and waitlist syncing.
- In Kit, start a broadcast or sequence and add the Mighty Networks content blocks.
Those blocks can pull in plans, articles, events, members and lists such as upcoming events. Posts are not included. Members who unsubscribed from marketing email are not synced, and Mighty Networks stays the source of truth for tags. The full walk-through is on our Kit integration page.
If you already use Mailchimp or another email tool
On Scale and higher, the Zapier integration can pass member events to other email platforms. On Launch there is no connector, so the working method is manual: export or keep your list in your email tool and paste your community's share link or plan link into each campaign. The help center itself suggests this for very large invite lists, naming Mailchimp and Kit.
Mighty Networks suits a group whose email needs are reminders and announcements to active members. A group that depends on a weekly newsletter to people outside the community should keep its email platform and treat Mighty Networks as the destination the emails point to. If built-in email campaigns are a firm requirement, Mighty Networks is the wrong choice: start from our list of Mighty Networks alternatives and confirm the email features on each vendor's own site. Check the plan prices before choosing Scale for the integration alone.
