Hivebrite starts at $895 a month, Mighty Networks at $79
Mighty Networks costs less than a tenth of Hivebrite at entry level, and the two are built for different buyers. Hivebrite's pricing page states that pricing starts at $895 a month billed annually, and that the next tier starts at $1,995 a month billed annually. Its plans are named Core, Flex, Prime and Custom Fit, and larger plans are priced after a discovery call. No month-to-month price is published. If you expected Hivebrite to quote only on request, note that a public starting figure was on the page as read on 3 October 2026.
Mighty's Launch Plan is $79 a month on annual billing ($950 a year on its pricing page) or $95 month to month per its help center. Over a year that is $950 against $10,740 for Hivebrite's starting tier.

What Hivebrite includes that Mighty Networks does not, and the reverse
Hivebrite only: tools for organizations that keep a formal member database. Its pages list a member directory with a map, memberships, email campaigns, delegated group administrators, a mentoring module, two-way connectors for Salesforce and HubSpot, a multi-language option covering more than 25 languages, and a choice of data regions (EU, US, Switzerland or Asia-Pacific). Onboarding support is part of every plan, and its services team does data migration and integration work.
Mighty Networks only: you can start today without a sales call, and the cheapest plan already has courses with quizzes and cohorts, livestreaming, paid subscriptions, points and leaderboards. Against Hivebrite, what matters is speed and cost: a volunteer committee can test Mighty for 14 days and then pay $95 for a single month. Mighty's plan table lists no mentoring matching or job board. Its Zapier integration and API start on the Scale Plan.
Which organizations fit each platform
- Hivebrite fits universities, large associations and corporate alumni programs with paid staff, a CRM of record, chapters that need their own admins, and a procurement or security review. Hivebrite itself says it is the wrong choice for a creator or course business.
- Mighty Networks fits clubs, local nonprofits, professional circles and paid memberships where a few organizers run everything and a five-figure yearly platform bill is out of reach. See Mighty Networks for nonprofits for the plan that fits.
- If you are in between, with chapters but no staff, compare other mid-priced options in the best community platforms guide before signing an annual contract.
Moving a community between Hivebrite and Mighty Networks
- Getting data out of Hivebrite: its data processing agreement says customers can extract end-user personal data as an Excel spreadsheet from the administration module. Its master agreement adds that, on written request within 90 days after the subscription ends, Hivebrite will provide your data as a CSV or Excel file. After that period it may delete the data.
- Timing: the same agreement sets one-year automatic renewals and 90 days' notice of non-renewal, unless your order form says otherwise. Put that date in the plan before anything else.
- Into Mighty: upload member emails as a CSV on Launch or higher, 50 invitations per batch and up to 100,000 records per file. Mighty's own migration service, which creates profiles so members only set a password, is offered from the Growth Plan at $354 a month on annual billing.
- Out of Mighty into Hivebrite: download the Excel member list from Admin, Members, Member List. Hivebrite's public pages describe data preparation and import as a professional service. We could not read its self-serve import steps on a public page.
For a move of this size, ask both vendors for a written scope. The migration quote checklist lists what to request, and the exit plan covers notice periods.
